SUMMER UPDATE OF THE CONSULTANTPLUS SYSTEM
At the end of july, the ConsultantPlus legal information system received an update. Among the new features are the new “Authored Materials” search card, a more user-friendly Quick Search, a redesigned start page, and the ability to pin frequently used documents.
The new “Authored Materials” search card allows users to search authored expert content across four key sections of the system at once: “Finance and HR Consultations,” “Consultations for Budget-Funded Organizations,” “Legal Commentaries,” and “Healthcare Organization Consultations.” Users no longer need to decide which section best fits their situation—searching is now unified across all authored materials.
Search cards are one of the key tools for finding information in ConsultantPlus. Each section of the system (legislation, case law, document templates, etc.) has its own specialized cards. Their main advantage is the ability to search by specific fields, helping users quickly find relevant materials within a vast database. For example, the new “Authored Materials” card includes filters like “Organization,” “Publication Source” (to search within a specific publication), and “Author” (to view works by a specific expert).
To make working with results easier, Quick Search now groups documents into blocks by type: regulatory acts, case law, document templates, updates and reviews, expert consultations, and more. Users can easily choose which document type to explore first.
The system’s start page has also been redesigned:

The news feed now displays even more updates, with key items marked “Don’t Miss”;

Important changes relevant to the selected user profile are highlighted;

Users can now pin documents in a new section called “My Pinned Documents”;

Familiar content is still available—it’s just been reorganized;

The new layout is unified across all user profiles.
The key feature here is that users can now choose and pin documents or even specific fragments directly to their start page, making it easier to return to them later without repeating the search. All pinned content appears in the new “My Pinned Documents” section.
The new “Authored Materials” search card and the block-style display in Quick Search are already available in the offline version of ConsultantPlus. They will be added to the online version later.
